Floods of 2008
Torrential rains on top of already saturated soil brought the Boyer River out of its' banks early Sunday morning. This shows the Farmland parking lot inundated by the overflowing waters of the nearby river. The river left its' channel in several places between Denison and Missouri Valley and Highway 30 West was closed to traffic in several spots. The river appeared to be receding slowly by mid-afternoon as authorities prepared for the cleanup and worried about more rain in the forecast.
