Common Sense Parenting
Are you the parent, grandparent or guardian of a toddler or preschooler? Do you sometimes struggle with the behaviors that they exhibit at home and when you are out? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this training is for you. Common Sence Parenting for parents of todlers and preschoolers is a seven week class that offers training for parents and providers who want to build on their existing skills or learn new ways of dealing with their children's behaviors. Professional Parent trainers teach the course.
Common Sense Parenting will be offered Mondays beginning February 3rd-March 16 from 5:00-7:30pm. 5:00-5:30pm a light meal will be served and 5:30-7:30pm will be class time. Classes will be held at ISU Extension and Outreach, 35 S. Main Street in Denison. This program is offered free of charge to all families, as funding has been received through Early Childhood of Iowa Grant.
Common Sense Parenting is an evidenced based curriculum developed by the Parenting Experts at Boys Town. ISU Extension and Outrach has partnered with them to bring this opportunity to Crawford County.
