July is Here! Summer is in full swing. We had a busy month of June with four tournaments, four corporate outings, a couple of reunions and a week of Monarch Golf Camp. Add in both Womens and Mens leagues played most all month and it was FULL!!
Thanks to all you supported the Pro Shop this past month with our Father's Day sales. We sold 10 new golf clubs, 4 golf bags and lots of apparel. The Pro Shop has really become a golf store now, with a full line of golf equipment and clothing and the growing line of services, like club repair and re-gripping and lessons from our golf professional. I like to think some of you dads had a great Fathers Day.
The Club Championship tournaments are coming up in a few weeks. Something for everyone. Sign-up sheets are on the board. Those who signed up for the GHIN handicap earlier this year, can opt-in for the handicap portion of the Championship. Who will be get their names on the trophies this season?
Lesson opportunities are posted for July dates with the Pro. We are working on bringing in a few new teaching tools to help grow the services that Mike provides. The responses have been good for this the past few months and I thank all of you who have been willing to try something new at the club.
I have some new interest for the bench and tee box signs and need to know if everyone who is currently holding a spot is wanting to continue. If you are currently advertising on one of these or know the people or businesses that do, and haven't paid please get with me this month. I can then figure out where I can add new signs and get this all settled for the year. On that note . . . when you drive by #13 tee take a moment to stop and check out the bench sign there. My sisters and I finally got the plaque created and installed about my father. Thanks Tim, for clearing the bush next to it.
July has a few less tournaments and events, but that doesn't mean they are good ones. As I mentioned earlier, the Club Championship sign up sheet is posted (members only) and the Fishbowl is also posted and nearly full. (it may already be full by this posting) There is also a 2-gal scramble this week (8th) that has open spots still available. Get your partner and get signed up!!! Mens league - Ryder Cup division, is still available to join, starting later this month too.
When you have a few moments, come on into the Pro Shop and check things out. Always something new in here. A few new Titleist cart bags, some new shirts arrived last week and I have some new $1 balls from Taylor Made that have been getting good reviews from the members I have asked to test them for me.
