With positivity rates climbing, East Sac Community Schools to dismiss an hour early

East Sac County Community Schools has reminded students and guardians that today is the beginning of students being dismissed from school an hour early. This is currently set to go on until November 24th. The early dismissal time is set to afford teachers extra time to work with the high number of students who're absent due to positive COVID19 tests or under quarantine. The school has explored mitigation measures while the Sac County positivity rate is currently at 21.4% over the past two weeks according to the Iowa Coronavirus data website.

-Shelby is at 23.4%

-Monona County is the lowest in the area, which is at 12.8%

-Greene County has a positive percentage of 18.4%,
