Carroll Man Arrested for Burglary Awaits Trial in February

A Carroll man who was arrested with burglary charges in December awaits his trial in February. 

Carroll County District Court Records state, 30-year-old Brice Shrimpton faces one count of second-degree burglary charges, a Class C Felony. An affidavit from the Carroll Police Department alleges that Shrimpton kicked his way into a residence the morning of December 14th. Authorities report Shrimpton violated an existing protective order and shattered several windows during the incident.

On Monday, Shrimpton filed a written plea of not guilty to the felony charge. His pretrial conference is slated for Jan. 25th, while his jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 9th. If found guilty, he faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
