Carroll Man Convicted to Federal Prison for Child Pornography
On Wednesday, 30-year-old Kyler Colten Cook, of Carroll was convicted of more than 7 years in federal prison for receiving child pornography.
On September 23rd, he pleaded guilty to the charges and admitted in a plea agreement that he knowingly received explicit images of minors engaged sexually from February through December in 2019.
While Cook was awaiting his initial trial, he was caught sending graphic texts and images to a female. Cook was detained in federal custody until his trial hearing. He will serve 93 months in federal prison in Sioux City and was fined $3000. After his release, Cook must serve a 5-year term of supervised release with no parole.
