City of Wall Lake Asks for Community’s Input of Former Elementary School Building

City Officials in Wall Lake are asking for the community’s input in the planning process for the former East Sac County Elementary School Building. 

The building has been unused since last May after the school board made the decision to transition the school district to two buildings instead of four. City Clerk Chris Rodman stated that they are nearing the end of negotiations with the district to transfer ownership of the property to the city.

Rodman also told reporters that once the oldest parts of the building are demolished and asbestos remediation is finished, estimates are that 4,000 square feet of space, including the gymnasium, will be waiting to be utilized.
