Carroll Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Abuse Charge Involving Minor
A Carroll man has pleaded guilty to a felony charge following an incident involving a minor earlier this year. According to records from Carroll County District Court, 24-year-old Antonio Lamar Deshaunte Hatcher admitted to engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl at a Carroll hotel in February.
Hatcher entered the guilty plea to third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, on Monday, May 19. Prosecutors say he was more than four years older than the victim at the time of the offense.
A plea hearing is scheduled for June 16 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If convicted, Hatcher faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $13,660.
