Denison Man Faces Felony Drug Charges, Child Endangerment Allegations

A Denison man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly planning to distribute psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana while children were present.

According to Crawford County District Court records, 45-year-old Branson Myles Malcom is accused of intending to deliver 6.8 ounces of marijuana, more than 20 THC vape pens, 15 bags of THC-infused gummies, and 3.6 ounces of psychedelic mushrooms in Denison in February. Authorities say children were present during the incident, exposing them to the controlled substances.

Malcom is charged with two counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both Class D felonies, along with six counts of child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance—second offense, all aggravated misdemeanors. He also faces a serious misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana, second offense.

Malcom has entered a plea of not guilty. A jury trial is scheduled for July 8 at the Crawford County Courthouse. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to 25 years in prison and more than $72,000 in fines.
