Hazardous Weather Outlook
Central Iowa is expected to experience tough weather conditions throughout tonight which puts our listening area counties in a “Hazardous Weather Outlook.”
Light snow is expected through the evening with light accumulations. However, wind chills are anticipated to remain below zero throughout the night. According to the National Weather Service, Dangerous wind chills will continue during the overnight and early morning hours throughout the weekend. Wind chill values could range from 20 to 35 degrees below zero at times. Snow is forecasted for tomorrow afternoon through early Saturday morning as well. Light accumulations are forecasted and could potentially make travel hazardous.
