Carroll Man Found Guilty of Second-Degree Burglary Awaits Sentencing.

A Carroll man who was found guilty of second-degree burglary in the Carroll County District Court now awaits sentencing. 

30-year-old Brice Shrimpton started his two-day trial on Tuesday and finished Wednesday afternoon when the jury returned with the guilty verdict of the class C felony charge. Court records show that Shrimpton forced entry into a Carroll home during the early morning of December 14th. Reports state, once he was inside he harassed, threatened, and caused the occupants to fear for their safety. Several windows were found broken from the incident. The Department of Correctional Services will prepare and file a pre-sentencing investigation before Shrimpton’s scheduled hearing on March 22nd. He will remain in custody at the Carroll County Jail until the order of disposition is delivered.
