Crawford County Supervisors Host Zoning Public Hearing, Communication Tower Zoom Call
The Crawford County Board of Supervisors engaged in a few lengthy discussions and took action on several items during their weekly meeting on Tuesday.
The board hosted a public hearing for a proposed zoning ordinance amendment which would address the decommissioning process for wind turbine towers in Crawford County. Citizen input helped lead to a half-hour discussion following the first of three required readings of the potential change.
The board approved an elevator modernization agreement, voted to allow a tax abatement for a rural dwelling on O Avenue, and agreed to the appointment of Brady Goslar as Charter Oak Township trustee.
County Engineer Paul Assman reported that Secondary Roads already completed one grading project and one bridge repair job so far this spring.
The board met with Rey Freeman Communications Consulting over Zoom for around 90 minutes about progress made on the land mobile radio tower system. That involved a data presentation and further conversation about the viability of potential sites near Dow City, Manilla, and Westside.
