Denison Police Report Warrant Arrest, Parked Vehicle Incidents

The Denison Police Department is reporting three incidents from earlier this week.

Officers took Jeremiah Hunt of Logan into custody at around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday. The public release states that they booked the 28-year-old male at the Police Department on an outstanding warrant.

Both of the motor vehicle incidents happened on Tuesday according to the information provided.

One document relays events that took place on North 15th Street at around 3 p.m. and involved a 2010 Nissan Altima and 1997 Infiniti QX4. The owner of both vehicles told police that someone broke into his apartment, stole the keys to the Altima, and then backed that car into the middle driver side of the QX4. The unidentified suspect then allegedly drove the Altima forward to where it was originally parked. The owner went on to claim that person then re-entered his apartment and put the keys back before fleeing the scene. The damaged total for the QX4 is estimated to be $5,000 while repairs for the Altima are expected to cost only $250.

Authorities also responed to a possible hit and run incident. The police report state that a 2015 Ford F-350 was legally parked along South 14th Street. An unidentified vehicle reporedly drove by, side-swiped the drive side mirror of the pickup, and left the scene. The repair cost estimate for the mirror is $700.
