Denison Police Report Vehicle Collision, Warrant Arrest
The Denison Police Department is reporting an additional arrest and another motor vehicle incident from earlier this week.
The car accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday near Ridge Road. The public release states that a 1930 Chevrolet Roadster was parked facing north in the second stall of the Denison Care Center employee parking lot. A 2013 Ford Fusion was facing south in the third stall on the other side of the aisle. Neither vehicle was occupied. The unidentified operator of the Roadster told authorities that she failed to place her vehicle in park and it rolled into the rear of the Fusion. The damage estimate for the Fusion is $1,100 while the Roadster repair cost is expected to be $50.
Police also say they arrested James Gangstad of Dow City at about 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The 42-year-old male was reportedly taken into custody near the intersection of Highway 30 and 4th Avenue South on an active Crawford County warrant.
