GoFundMe Fundraiser Organized on Behalf of Injured Denison Teen
A GoFundMe campaign to help pay for the medical expenses of 16-year-old Eddy Gutierrez already more than doubled the fundraiser's original goal. Eddy is one of two teens injured in a head-on collision that happened in the Denison High School parking lot late Friday night. Emergency responders transported Eddy to Crawford County Memorial Hospital and airlifted him to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha soon after.
Shanda Mohr organized the GoFundMe page as a place to support the family as well as provide updates on Eddy's condition. The description reads in part: “Any donation you can give for Eddy's medical expenses is GREATLY APPRECIATED. We are asking that you please keep Eddy and his family in your prayers during these difficult days.” KDSN reached out to find out more about how it came together.
