OABCIG Alum Cooper DeJean selected by Philadelphia Eagles in NFL Draft
Iowa corner and former OABCIG star Cooper DeJean realized his dream as he was selected in the 2nd round (40) in the 2024 NFL Draft.
DeJean joins the an Eagles team that finished 11-5 a season ago, falling to Tampa Bay in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Philadelphia, who were in need of corner help, moved up to the 40th pick to aquire Cooper's services.
Over three seasons for Iowa, DeJean recorded 120 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 7 interceptions (3 returned for TDs), and 20 passes defended while being a one time All-American, 2 time first team all Big Ten while winning awards for best corner and return specialist in the 2023 season.
