WITCC Receives $2.2 Million Grant
The U.S. Department of Education awarded a five-year, $2.2 million grant to Western Iowa Tech Community College.
The grant is meant for retaining Arts and Sciences students, improving transfer pathways to 4-year schools, fostering a culture of equity, and training employees on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. WITCC says this grant will be part of supporting every learner, providing degrees to more students, and increasing educational attainment in the community. The college’s main campus is in Sioux City, with other locations in Denison, Mapleton, Cherokee, and LeMars.
