Denison Fully Enforcing Updated Snow Policy After Next Storm

The City of Denison did not issue any citations for odd/even parking violations after last week’s winter storm.

Mayor Pam Soseman says it’s part of a learning curve for the updated snow removal policy and they will write tickets in the future if needed.

“That doesn’t mean those cars that are parked uptown every day didn’t get towed because they did but these are the side streets. They just don’t want to block you in. That’s why they are giving you time to adjust. I think it’s a win-win for the citizens and Public Works,” said Soseman.

She also says there’s another way people can help.

“I noticed many people throwing their snow into the street that had just been cleared. Please do not do that. You could get a citation for that. Put it in the parking. Put it in your own yard. Do not throw it out into the street,” said Soseman.
