Manning Man Charged With Felony For Allegedly Breaking Infant’s Ribs

A Manning man is facing class C felony charges in Carroll County District Court for allegedly breaking an infant’s ribs in June. According to Iowa court records, 22-year-old Albert Sidney Holloway III is charged with child endangerment causing serious injury, which is a class C felony. Per the Carroll Broadcasting Company, a five-week-old infant was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital on June 30th for suspected child abuse, with the infant suffering from multiple rib fractures and bruising. The Carroll Broadcasting Company reported Holloway admitted to causing the injuries during an interview with the Department of Health and Human investigators, with his preliminary hearing expected to take place July 27th. A class C felony in Iowa is punishable by a prison term of up to 10 years and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000. All charges are allegations and the people charged in this case are to be considered innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
