Cyclone Tour Held At Vetter Equipment
Iowa State University (ISU) Extention and Outreach Vice President Jason Henderson and ISU President Wintersteen are on a Cycolne Tour around the state of Iowa this week, visiting communities throughout the state. On Monday, July 24th, the pair stopped at Vetter Equipment, who Wintersteen said is a partner of ISU. Wintersteen said that it is wonderful to be out and about and it’s great to be surrounded by Cyclones. “Every community is unique in what it has to offer and what its opportunities are,” Wintersteen said the Extension programs in Crawford County are very successful. “We highlighted two young women that are Iowa State students here as rising interns.” Vice President of the ISU Extention and Outreach Office, Henderson, also believes Denison is special, as there are so many different types of economic activity present. As Vice President, Henderson has some new ideas of what to focus on. For example, they’re looking at health and answering the question: How do we expand digital Ag? “New technologies are changing, AI activities… Artificial Intelligence and how do we use that to share information and glean information and distribute on that front.” Overall, Henderson said the Cyclone Tour is a great opportunity to go around the state of Iowa and talk about Extention. “We’re here in every county and every community across the state of Iowa looking at how we can help improve lives and livelihood each and every day.” The Cyclone Tour will continue through Wednesday throughout the state of Iowa.
