Wellness Center Reaches 70% Goal
The Crawford County Wellness Center recently announced they have reached their 70% goal in regards to fundraising totals. Tim Stuart, chairman of the Crawford County Recreation & Wellness Committee, discussed the significance. “We’ve got an 18 million dollar project that we needed to be at 70 percent funded in order to have confidence with submission of the application to the state of Iowa for the commercial, attraction and tourism grant.” Stuart said both public and private entities were responsible for reaching the goal. “The combination got us well in the worth of 13 million dollars now that we’ve raised”. Stuart went on to thank local individuals involved in their work on the CAT grant writing process. “Hats off to Jennifer Zupp and Jessica Garcia for their help in grant writing.” Stuart looks forward to a positive outcome from the board reviewing the CAT application.
