Dow City-Arion Fire Department to Host Pancake Breakfast Sunday, September 3rd
The Dow City-Arion Fire Department is hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, September 3rd. Gill Gordon with the department discussed the details. “They’re having a town celebration and the fire department starts off at seven in the morning with a pancake breakfast and then the car show there on main street. I think sign-up starts around nine in the morning. We’ll serve pancakes until around eleven, there’ll be buffalo burgers and other food available around town.” Gordon also said there will be more fun activities taking place that day as well. “The Fire Department is sponsoring games for the kids from one to three and then a pedal tractor pull around three p.m. all there on Main Street”. Gordon said it’s part of their effort with the pancake breakfast is to help support the Fire Department. “It's a free will donation; just equipment replacement. Everything you know has life expectancies on it, replacing bunker gear and other protective equipment.” Gill said he hopes to see a great turnout and see the community have a fun time.
