Free Outdoor Movie this Saturday, September 30th at Washington Park in Denison
The film “Super Mario Bros.” will play this Saturday evening at Washington Park in Denison. Mayor for the City of Denison, Pam Soseman, had a lot of praise for these events and the volunteers involved. “This is something a local volunteer has organized and I think this is her third year of doing it, Jennifer Smith. I know her husband Brian Smith (also) helped with that (and others).” Soseman said there’s plenty going on that evening beyond the movie. “There’s also going to be the Cattlemens (Crawford County Cattlemen), they're going to be there grilling and I believe maybe a portion of that money is going to go to the Washington Park project as a fundraiser.” Soseman said as a city they’ve been working on community visioning boards over the past year where people can find out more information Saturday night. “We also as a city have been working on community visioning boards. This is a grant we received a year ago identifying visions for the city of Denison. Those vision boards will be at Washington Park and they will be displaying those boards for the community to see so I am encouraging people to go down to the park, grab a burger or steak sandwich , view those community vision boards, give us some feedback and stay and watch the movie.” The final free outdoor movie at Washington Park will be October 28th.
