LEGO Camp – 4-H Ocean Explorers Jr. (Grades K–3)
June 9 | 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Set sail on a day of creativity and discovery! 4-H Ocean Explorers Jr. Camp is inspired by the Junior FIRST LEGO® League 2024 Ocean Explorers theme. Campers will dive into hands-on building as they create ocean habitats, sea creatures, and exploation vehicles, while designing LEGO solutions to clean up pollution and protect marine life.

Food Preservation (Grades 6–12)
June 10 | 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Campers will get a general overview that highlights the key information you need to know to get started preserving food at home.

Campers will:

  • Discuss four food preservation techniques – pressure canning, hot water bath canning, dehydration and freezing
  • Be provided science-based, reliable, food preservation resources
  • Explore food preservation equipment
  • Have their general food preservation questions answered

LEGO Camp – Engineering & Coding (Grades 4–6)
June 11 | 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Dive deeper into STEM with our 4-H Engineering & Coding Camp inspired by the FIRST LEGO® League Submerged season. Explore ocean layers, underwater technology, and while designing and building LEGO submersibles, brought to life using SPIKE™ Essential motors and blockbased coding. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and creativity!

Salsa Workshop (Grades 6–12)
June 15 | 12:00–4:30 p.m.
Grab some chips! In this food science camp, youth will learn about how to preserve food safely. Hands-on activities offer youth the opportunity to learn safe salsa preservation. Campers will discuss flavors of ingredients in salsa. Kitchen safety will be highlighted. They will practice the boiling water canning method to preserve a jar of salsa to take home.

Explore Computer Science (Grades 4–8)
June 16 | 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Explore Computer Science is a hands-on 4-H summer day camp for youth in grades 4–6 that introduces coding, problem-solving, and creative
technology in fun and engaging ways. Campers will experiment with Ozobots, micro:bits, Makey Makey, and unplugged activities like binary bracelets and “coding” their lunch. Youth will also explore how artificial intelligence works through games and challenges designed just for their age. No previous coding experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to try something new!

Discover STEM (Grades K–3)
June 30 | 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Get ready to explore, create, and discover! Discover STEM is a fun, hands-on summer day camp. Campers will dive into all four areas of STEM through engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. Youth will experiment like scientists, build and design like engineers, explore age-appropriate technology, and practice math skills through games and real-world challenges. Activities are interactive, playful, and developmentally appropriate, helping young learners build confidence while discovering how STEM is part of their everyday world. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to try new things and have fun!
