Funeral Services for 86-year-old Lloyd Carlson formerly of Ricketts will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, December 8 at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak with burial in the parish cemetery.
 
Visitation with family greeting friends will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, December 7 at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak.
 
He passed away November 28 in Des Moines.
 
Survivors include his children: Lisa (Michael) Angle of Missouri, Lloyd Carlson Jr. (Lashelle) of Norwalk, LaDonna (Craig) Rasmussen of Galva, Logan Carlson (Colleen) of Norwalk, Penny (Joe) Ewoldt of Vail, Roxanne (Russell) Wray of Mapleton and Sheila (John) Rickers of Westside; sister-in-law, Donna Carlson; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service for 71-year-old Robert Mahlberg of Soldier will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th, at Soldier Lutheran Church in Soldier. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.~ 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Mahlberg passed at Burgess Hospital in Onawa, on November 24th.

Mass of Christian Burial for 65-year-old Kenneth “Narv” Schwery will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 25th, at St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Panama. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Panama. Visitation will be from 4:00 ~ 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the St. Mary’s Parish Hall with a rosary at 4:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass for 70 year old Glenn Halbur, of Denison, and formerly of Halbur, will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Halbur with military honors conducted by the Arcadia American Legion.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9-9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

Glenn died Monday, November 17, 2025 at Creighton University – Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

A Memorial Mass for 85 year old John Henry Laube, of Texas and formerly of Harlan, will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 8th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla, with interment to follow at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Manilla. John's family will then receive family and friends for fellowship and lunch at Manilla Memorial Hall.

John passed away on October 2nd in Texas.

John is survived by his son John Laube, Jr. and wife Karen; Daughter Kristin (Laube) Manning and husband Carl; Grandchildren Olivia (Manning) Jensen and husband Lucas, and Maxwell Manning; and his sister Marian (Laube) Santi.
