Funeral Service for 97 year old Vera Vollstedt of Manilla will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Visitation with the family greeting friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, also on Thursday, June 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial at the Nishnabotna Cemetery near Manilla.
Vera died on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Gracewell Nursing Home in Denison.
She is survived by her children: Becky Vollstedt of Carroll, Steve (Carol) Vollstedt of Perry, Ron (Jill) Vollstedt of Manilla, Kathy (Kurt) George of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tim (LuAnn) Vollstedt of Arcadia; brother, Glen (Chris) Macumber of Manilla; sister-in-law, Ann Macumber of Denison; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as extended family members and friends.
The Ohde Funeral Home is assisting the family with Vera’s arrangements.

Burial will be in the Odebolt Cemetery.
Eugene passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Wanda Rozella Larson, age 91, of Kiron, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at her residence of Kiron, Iowa.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Kiron, Iowa. Pastor Wayne Stowers and Pastor Billy Bergman will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Kiron Cemetery in Kiron, Iowa.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, at the First Baptist Youth Center at 14 N Grove Street, Kiron, Iowa.

Larson of Arthur; Conwell and Sheryl Larson of Kiron; Chad and Wendy Larson of Odebolt;
sister-in-law Roby Larson; her grandchildren: Danna, David, Janice, Peter, Ashley, Chelsea,
Mike, Tom, Brittany, Nick, Jake, and Katelyn; eighteen great grandchildren; and many extended
family members and friends.

Funeral Service for 72- year-old Jay Bell of Arion will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 29th, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dow City. Burial will be at Crawford Heights in Denison.
Visitation will be from 5:00 ~ 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap.
Mr. Bell died at the MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines on May 23rd.
Jay is survived by Wife Jane; Daughters: Stacie Julich of Carroll and Laura Bell of Des Moines; Stepdaughters: Michelle and Denny Fineran of Denison, Maretta Janning and Darren Thompson of Denison, and Maurecia and Drew Young of Council Bluffs.

A Graveside Funeral Service for 89 year old Jeanette Lerssen of Manning will be held at 2:00 pm at the Manning Cemetery on Monday, May 11th. Visitation with the family greeting friends will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Ohde Funeral Home, prior to the graveside service on Monday.
Jeanette died on Monday, May 4 at Manning Regional Healthcare Center.
Jeanette is survived by her two sons, Neil Lerssen of Wall Lake and Kurt Lerssen of Manning; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
