Funeral service for 54-year-old Juan Carlos Morales will be held on Saturday, March 14,
at 11:00AM, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Visitation will be held two hours
prior to the funeral service.
Juan passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center on March 3rd.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Morales of Denison, IA; children, Jocelyn Morales
(Juan Muñoz) of Dow City, IA; Juan Eduardo Morales, and Nataly Juliana Morales both
of Denison; grandson, Giovanni Sebastian Muñoz; siblings, Maria Morales of Denison;
Osvaldo Morales of Monterrey, Mexico.

Mass of Christian Burial for 96-year-old James Kloewer of Panama will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, March 9, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Panama with burial in the Washington Township Cemetery in Panama. Visitation with family greeting friends will be held from 4:30 – 7:30 P.M., Sunday, March 8 at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish Center in Panama.
He passed away Wednesday, March 4 at his home in Panama.
Survivors include his children: Cindy (Joe) Connolly of Papillion, Nebraska, Daniel (Carol Stessman) Kloewer of Omaha, Nebraska, Dean (Colleen) Kloewer of Panama, Bill (Janet) Kloewer of Johnston and Mona (Mark) Crall of Panama; son-in-law, Nick Puhl of Le Mars; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; siblings: Charlet Connelly of Tucson, Arizona, Edna (Keith) Mallonee of Foley, Alabama, Donna Schwery of Panama, Mary (Ken) Bell of Clark, South Dakota; siblings-in-law: Gary Clark of Gibbon, Nebraska, Joan Sondag of Harlan, Jerome “Willie” (Shirley) Mumm of Harlan, Bernice (Gene) Stolz of Omaha, Nebraska, Ray (Mary) Mumm of Ute, Bob Mumm of Gilman, Verla Mumm of Dunlap and Marilyn Mumm of Dunlap; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for 93-year-old Mary Jane Petersen of Harlan will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Heartland Funeral Home in Harlan. Visitation will be held prior to her service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Heartland Funeral Home in Harlan. Private family inurnment in the St. Clair Cemetery near Ute.
She passed away, Saturday, February 28, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.
She is survived by her three children: Denise (Phil) Gubbels, David (Linda) Petersen, and DeaAnn (Roger) Bissen, all of Harlan; six grandchildren: Dan (Jess) Petersen, Ryan (Katie) Petersen, David (Terra) Gubbels, Dennis (Laura) Gubbels, Brittany (Matt) Draeger, and Hanna (Mark) Leiting; fourteen great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; her sister, Arlynn Gittins of Harlan; her sister-in-law, Audrey Lambert of Sioux City; several beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, many dear friends, and all those who had the privilege of caring for her.

Mass of Christian Burial for 77-year-old Patricia Getty will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at 11:00am at the St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Patricia, formerly of Denison, passed away in Georgia on Thursday February 26th.
Survivors include daughter Toni Rings of Georgia; siblings Darlene Reis, Judy Brodersen both of Denison, Corrine (Richard) Bogart of Omaha, Gail Swanson of Davenport; sisters-in-law Carol Swanson and Betty Swanson both of Denison.

Funeral services 91year old Darleen Ruth Linde, formerly of Westside, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, March 3, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Church from 4:30 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2. The casket will be moved to the church on Tuesday morning where visitation will resume from 9:30 A.M. until 10:15 A.M prior to the service.
Darleen passed away on February 24, 2026, at Addington Place in Carroll, Iowa.
Survivors include her children: Pamela (Allan) Kock; Bradley (Vicki) Linde; Scott (Lorine) Linde; and Robin Hertzog; her grandchildren: Mike (Katie) Linde; Amy (Aaron) Crane; Sara (Jordan) Frew; Jason (Nicole) Kock; Bryan (Amanda) Linde; Nick (Kasey) Linde; Jamie Linde; Josh (Jenny) Linde; Mandy (Carter) Markham; and Katie Hertzog; 23 great-grandchildren; and her sisters: Virgene Behrens, Diane Schroeder, and Sandra Snyder.

A Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. for Phyllis Muhlbauer of Manilla, followed by visitation with the family from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., all on Thursday, February 26, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla. Private family burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Manilla.
Phyllis died on Saturday, February 21 at Gracewell in Denison.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Daryl (Lisa) Muhlbauer of Panora; Barbara Baker of Greenfield; Joyce (Garry) Price of Pennsylvania; Donna (Tom) Rohe of LeMars; Gary (Tammy) Muhlbauer of Manilla; Jeffrey (Maria) Muhlbauer of Manilla; Michael (Theresa) Muhlbauer of Griswold; Tom (Beth) Muhlbauer of Manilla; and daughter-in-law Patti Muhlbauer of Manilla; 42 grandchildren, 116 great-grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Christine passed away on Friday February 20th at her home in Denison.

Sally A. Porter, age 87, of Odebolt, took her Lord and Saviors hand on Wednesday, February 11, at Odebolt Specialty Care Nursing Home in Odebolt.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, at the Arthur Evangelical Free Church of Arthur. Pastor Dave Schultz and Pastor Billy Bergman will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Hayes Township Cemetery of Arthur, Iowa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek, Iowa. Rev. Dr. Jim Edwards will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery of Battle Creek, Iowa.
A Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek, Iowa.
