Mass of Christian Burial for 73 year old Jody Bruck, of Earling, will be held on Monday March 23rd at 11:00am at the St Joseph Catholic Church in Earling. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.
Jody passed away at CHI Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha on March 13th.
He is survived by children, Joey Bruck of Shelby and Sara Bruck of Harlan; seven grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Aline) Bruck of Harlan, Colleen Spinler of Nebraska, Vernon (Pat) Bruck of Denison, and Robin (Carolyn) Bruck of Denison; brother in law, Curt Slater of Defiance; nieces & nephews.

Deborah Blom
Funeral Services for 73 year old Deborah Blom will be held on Friday March 20th at 10:30am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday March 19th also at the church.
Deb passed away at the Denison Care Center on Sunday March 15th.
She is survived by husband John Blom of Manilla; children, Julie (PJ) Meneough of Manilla, Jill (Ron) Vollstedt of Manilla, and John (Joy) Blom of Manilla; five grandchildren; one great-granchild; siblings, Georgetta (Mike) Barry of Manilla, Stan (Donna) Bandow of Texas, Scott (Lorie) Bandow of Manilla, Wyatt (Sylvia) Bandow of Manilla, Dale (Jane) Bandow of Manilla, Kelly Rutherford of Manilla, Kim (Greg) Terlisner of Manilla, and Rachel (Kevin) Donahue of Texas.

Paul “Osgood” Adolph Schaben
Paul “Osgood” Adolph Schaben, age 86, of Carroll, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Gracewell in Denison.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 17, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors by the Carroll American Legion.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5 – 7 P.M. on Monday March 16 where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 7 P.M. The casket will be moved to St. Lawrence Church at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday where visitation will resume until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Anthony’s Regional Cancer Center, St. Croix Hospice, or the Rani Jane Schaben Family Foundation and may be left at the funeral home or the church. Contributions can be made to the foundation, which was created in Rani’s memory to assist nursing and health science students with their educational needs.
Paul is survived by his wife Jane of Carroll; three sons: Ryan Schaben of Eagan, MN, Sean Schaben (Pam Cavanaugh) of Estero, FL, and Thad Schaben (Carmen) of Urbandale, IA; one grandson Colton Schaben; two granddaughters Ciara Schaben and Emma Schaben; two sisters: Mary Kay Campbell of Denison and Rose Ditter (Richard) Estero, FL; four brothers: Bernard Schaben of Denison, Mike Schaben (Jeanie) of Defiance, Dan Schaben (Georgene) of Harlan, and Henry Schaben (Coleen) of Elkhorn, NE; two sisters-in-law Cindy Schaben of Redondo Beach, CA and Jacqui Hollingsworth – Clary (Frazier) of Littleton, CO; his faithful and loyal furry companion Lexi; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Celebration of Life for 87-year-old Beverly Hidding of Dow City will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, March 16 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dow City with family greeting friends and family one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Dow City Cemetery. She passed away Friday, March 6 at the Crawford County Hospital in Denison.
Survivors include her children: Tammy (Steve) Langholdt, David (Cris) Hidding, and Becky (Ken) Willems, all of Denison; son-in-law Roger (Marsha) Waderich of Denison; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister Betty Gorder of Alden; many extended family and friends.

Juan passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center on March 3rd.

Visitation will be held prior to her service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Heartland Funeral Home in Harlan. Private family inurnment in the St. Clair Cemetery near Ute.
She passed away, Saturday, February 28, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.
She is survived by her three children: Denise (Phil) Gubbels, David (Linda) Petersen, and DeaAnn (Roger) Bissen, all of Harlan; six grandchildren: Dan (Jess) Petersen, Ryan (Katie) Petersen, David (Terra) Gubbels, Dennis (Laura) Gubbels, Brittany (Matt) Draeger, and Hanna (Mark) Leiting; fourteen great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; her sister, Arlynn Gittins of Harlan; her sister-in-law, Audrey Lambert of Sioux City; several beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, many dear friends, and all those who had the privilege of caring for her.

Patricia, formerly of Denison, passed away in Georgia on Thursday February 26th.
Survivors include daughter Toni Rings of Georgia; siblings Darlene Reis, Judy Brodersen both of Denison, Corrine (Richard) Bogart of Omaha, Gail Swanson of Davenport; sisters-in-law Carol Swanson and Betty Swanson both of Denison.

Funeral services 91year old Darleen Ruth Linde, formerly of Westside, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, March 3, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Church from 4:30 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2. The casket will be moved to the church on Tuesday morning where visitation will resume from 9:30 A.M. until 10:15 A.M prior to the service.
Darleen passed away on February 24, 2026, at Addington Place in Carroll, Iowa.
Survivors include her children: Pamela (Allan) Kock; Bradley (Vicki) Linde; Scott (Lorine) Linde; and Robin Hertzog; her grandchildren: Mike (Katie) Linde; Amy (Aaron) Crane; Sara (Jordan) Frew; Jason (Nicole) Kock; Bryan (Amanda) Linde; Nick (Kasey) Linde; Jamie Linde; Josh (Jenny) Linde; Mandy (Carter) Markham; and Katie Hertzog; 23 great-grandchildren; and her sisters: Virgene Behrens, Diane Schroeder, and Sandra Snyder.

A Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. for Phyllis Muhlbauer of Manilla, followed by visitation with the family from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., all on Thursday, February 26, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla. Private family burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Manilla.
Phyllis died on Saturday, February 21 at Gracewell in Denison.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Daryl (Lisa) Muhlbauer of Panora; Barbara Baker of Greenfield; Joyce (Garry) Price of Pennsylvania; Donna (Tom) Rohe of LeMars; Gary (Tammy) Muhlbauer of Manilla; Jeffrey (Maria) Muhlbauer of Manilla; Michael (Theresa) Muhlbauer of Griswold; Tom (Beth) Muhlbauer of Manilla; and daughter-in-law Patti Muhlbauer of Manilla; 42 grandchildren, 116 great-grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
