Funeral Services for 76-year-old Butch Miller of Denison will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 7 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Soldier Township, Charter Oak. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of arrangements where friends may call from 5:00 – 6:30 P.M with a Prayer Service at 6:30 P.M. He passed away Monday, September 2 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Survivors include his wife, Renee, of Denison; three children: Jennifer and her husband Pastor Steve Bagnall of Michigan; Camille and her husband John Shipley of Missouri; and Elliott Miller and Rachel Hall of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren; two sisters: Edna Malone of Dow City and Marie Blackman of Denison; many other relatives and friends.

Dixie Hagemann
Funeral Service for 77-year-old Dixie Hagemann of Moorhead will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7th, at Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap. Visitation will be from 10:00 ~ 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap.
Mrs. Hagemann passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, on September 3rd.
Surevivors include children: Jeff Hagemann of Council Bluffs, Nikki Hagemann of Denison, and Dawn Hagemann of Council Bluffs; Sisters: Judy (Norman) Kuhlman of Moorhead, and Peggy Bothwell of Woodbine, and Brother-in-law: Gary McCue of Texas.

Linda (Saunders) Deiber
Funeral Services for 76 year old Linda (Saunders) Deiber, formerly of Manilla, will be held on Monday, September 9th at 11:00 am at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Monday before the service at the Funeral Home.
Linda passed on Tuesday, September 3rd at her home in Omaha.
Linda is survived by her husband, Alan; sons Nate (Becky) Deiber of Omaha, and Matt (Cindy) Deiber of Bellevue; three grandchildren: sister-in-law Betty Saunders; other relatives and friends.

Marlene Hight
Funeral Services for 75-year-old Marlene Hight of Schleswig will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 12 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig with burial in the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. She passed away Sunday, September 8 at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Hight of Schleswig; three daughters: Tracy (Michael) Beeck of Denison, Tamara Chubb of Ankeny and Marissa (Jason) Hatcher of Omaha; 6 grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Douglas Vaughn
Visitation for 59-year-old Douglas Vaughn of Deloit will be held 9:30 – 11:00 AM, Friday, September 13 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 AM. He passed away August 30 at his home in Deloit.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Vaughn of Deloit; daughters, Melissa Malone and Vanessa (Aaron) McAdam; 1 grandson; father, Doug Vaughn and friend Connie Mulligan; sisters: Cindy Jo (Kevin) Bohm and Billie May (Mike) Bauer; many other relatives and friends.

Art Joens
A memorial service for 99 year old Art Joens of Manilla will be held on Saturday, September 14 at 10:30 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla. Burial will be at the Nishnabotna Cemetery in Manilla.
Art died on September 3, 2024 at Sioux City, Iowa
He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Sioux City; daughter, Kathryn Joens of Kingsley, and son, Alan Joens (Melissa Lanzourakis) of Sioux City; Peggys children: Cynthia, Paul, John, and Flint; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Graveside Services for 88-year-old Chuck Rickert of Denison will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, September 16 at the Nishnabotna Cemetery near Manilla. He passed away Wednesday, September 11 at the Denison Care Center in Denison.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for 70-year-old Tom Henkelman of Omaha will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 16th at the Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Visitation will be from 12:00 ~ 1:45 p.m. prior to the funeral at Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap.
Mr. Henkelman passed away at Bergan Mercy in Omaha, on September 12th.
Tom is survived by son: Doug and Jill Melby of Dow City; Siblings: Theresa Henkelman of Colorado, Kathy Calderon of California, Kevin and Corrine Henkelman of Manning, and Paul and Charity Henkelman of Michigan.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery. He passed away Friday, September 13 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Wiebers and their two children, Brecken Wiebers and Kinley Wiebers of Schleswig; parents, Larry and Pat Wiebers of Schleswig; brother, Cory (Tana) Wiebers of Arizona; father-in-law, Jim Hillhouse of Denison; mother-in-law, Laurie (Phil) Norris of Kansas; sisters-in-law: Sarah (Autumn) Hillhouse, Molly (Lucas) Gillmor and Brooke Hillhouse all of Denison; many other relatives and friends.

Survivors include her children: Dan (Sheila) Upton of Council Bluffs, Roger (Cheryl) Upton of Manilla, Don (Renee) Upton of Council Bluffs, Robin Bronkhorst and Robert (Jill) Upton, all of Hawarden; 24 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Arthur (Nita) Heinold of Illinois; many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service for 72-year-old Saundra L. Bumann, of Schleswig, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 23rd at the United Church of Christ of Schleswig. Committal Services will follow in the Morgan Township Cemetery of Schleswig.
A Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Church.
Saundra passed away on Monday, September 16th at the Nebraska Medical Center of Omaha.

A Funeral Service 88-year-old Donald “Don” E. Schmidt, of Holstein, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 3, at the Holstein United Methodist Church of Holstein. Interment will follow in the Ida Grove Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Dessel-Schmidt Post No. 225 of the American Legion of Holstein.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 2, at the Holstein United Methodist Church of Holstein.
Donald passed away on Friday, September 27, at Gracewell, An Eventide Community in Denison.

A funeral service for 83-year-old Gene Eldor Friedrichsen, of Onawa, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 9th at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel in Onawa.
A Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9th at the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig, with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and Denison American Legion Post #8.
Gene passed away on Tuesday, October 1st, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
