Saundra L. Bumann
A Funeral Service for 72-year-old Saundra L. Bumann, of Schleswig, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 23rd at the United Church of Christ of Schleswig. Committal Services will follow in the Morgan Township Cemetery of Schleswig.
A Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Church.
Saundra passed away on Monday, September 16th at the Nebraska Medical Center of Omaha.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband Dennis; children Allison (Dustin) Behrendsen of Schleswig, Carrie Landon of Ida Grove, and Gregory (Jessica) Bumann of Council Bluffs; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; brother Kenneth Salyard of Ohio; sister Shirley Murphy of Ohio; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Sherman Bryant
Memorial Services for 85-year-old Sherman Bryant of Denison will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 28 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with visitation from 9:00 – 10:15 AM prior to the service. He passed away Sunday, September 15 at his home in Denison.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bryant; children: Bryan J. Bryant of Denison, Ronda Kay Nepper of Ida Grove, and Robin Marie Freese and significant other, Dandy Hallady of Nevada; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and brother-in-law, James Gunderson.
Services are entrusted to the Huebner Funeral Home.
Donald “Don” E. Schmidt
A Funeral Service 88-year-old Donald “Don” E. Schmidt, of Holstein, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 3, at the Holstein United Methodist Church of Holstein. Interment will follow in the Ida Grove Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Dessel-Schmidt Post No. 225 of the American Legion of Holstein.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 2, at the Holstein United Methodist Church of Holstein.
Donald passed away on Friday, September 27, at Gracewell, An Eventide Community in Denison.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife Darlene Schmidt of Holstein, IA; children Doug (Julie) Schmidt of Denison, IA, Dana (Kevin) Apel of New Braunfels, TX and Dawn Schmidt of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren Calisa (Sam) Stark of Universal City, TX, Ashton Schmidt of Los Angeles, CA, Cara (Austin) Wozniak of Needville, TX, Kylie (Ryan) Nelson of Indianola, IA; and Michala (Tyler) Covington of San Marcos, TX, and great-grandchildren Piper and Devin Stark, Carter and Cooper Wozniak, Cecil and Juniper Nelson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral service for 82-year-old Delores LaVonne Wangler of Kiron will be held on Tuesday, October 8th at 10:30 am at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Kiron. Visitation will be on Tuesday starting at 9:00 am prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be in the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Kiron.
Delores passed on Friday, October 4th.
Survivors include nephews Matt & Mark Johnston both of Kiron.

A funeral service for 83-year-old Gene Eldor Friedrichsen, of Onawa, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 9th at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel in Onawa.
A Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
A livestream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Gene’s obituary.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9th at the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig, with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and Denison American Legion Post #8.
Gene passed away on Tuesday, October 1st, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments in Onawa.

Robert “Bob” Cogdill
Mass of Christian Burial for 96 year old Robert “Bob” Cogdill of Dunlap will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 17th at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dunlap.
There will be a rosary at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16th at the St. Patrick Parish Center followed by the family greeting friends until 7 p.m. at which time there will be a scripture service.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap.
Mr. Cogdill died on Saturday, October 12th at his home.
Survivors include children: Sam & Sue Cogdill of Dunlap, Pat & Joyce Cogdill of Dunlap, Tim & Susan Cogdill of Dunlap, Tony & Linda Cogdill of Panama, Frank & JoEtt Cogdill of Dunlap, and Martha & Richard Rose of Dunlap; daughter-in-law, Barbara Cogdill of Ankeny; and son-in-law, Patrick Montang of Council Bluffs.

Family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 22nd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Pauley Jones Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison with a Rosary service and Vigil starting at 6:00 pm.
Ione passed away on Friday, October 18th.
Survivors include daughters Tracey (Scott) Reetz of Denison, Theresa (Rick) Schramm of Denison, and Tammy (Darryl) Bright of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
