Funeral services for 78-year-old, Jim Lindstrom of Kiron, will be Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 11:00AM at the Kiron First Baptist Church in Kiron, Iowa, with burial following at the Kiron Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00PM-7:00PM on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Denison, Iowa.
Jim passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Lindstrom of Kiron, IA; children, Angela (Brad) Horsley of Wellsville, KS, Allison (Allen Myers) Lindstrom of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Shailey (Brendan) McCart, Morgan (Trevor Henning) Horsley, Maddie “Goober” Horsley; great-grandchild, Bennett James Henning; siblings, Jerry (Charla) Lindstrom of Davenport, IA, Pat (Jerry) Getter of Corning, IA; other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for 94- year-old Pat Heffernan of Dunlap will be at 10:30a.m. Tuesday, October 13 th , at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dunlap. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap. Mr. Heffernan died at Dunlap Specialty Care on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Visitation will be from 4:30 ~ 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap. There will be a Rosary at 4:00 prior to the visitation, also at Fouts Funeral Home.

Roger L. Young, Age 82, of Hartley, passed away on Thursday, September 24, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with visitation held an hour prior from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, in the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home in Ida Grove. Rev. Ken Miller will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Battle Creek, Iowa, with Military Rites by the Arthur W. Kirchhoff American Legion Post # 288 of Hartley, Iowa.
Roger is survived by his children Martina (Greg) Jahn of Omaha, NE, Susanna Schweikert of Omaha, NE, Duane Young of Spencer, IA, and Robert (Missy) Young of Hartley, IA; grandchildren: John (Joy) Freese, Brigitte Freese, Christopher (Sam) Jahn, Tiffany Jahn (special friend Buddy), Amber (Jeremy) Berry, Daniel (Caitlyn) Hopper, Deanna (Curtis) Cramm, Shyanne Zandstra, Tanner Young, and Devin (Katelyn) Young; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother Darrel Young of Primghar, IA; sister-in-law Diane Young of Battle Creek, IA; cousin Ardith Nelson of Swanville, MN; and beloved four legged companion Lilly.

Henry Klockgether, age 89, of Mapleton, passed away on Sunday, September 6th, at the Willow Dale Wellness Village of Battle Creek.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 14, at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ of Mapleton. Eugene Tolstedt will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery of Charter Oak. Military Rites will conducted by the Loren Hollister Post No. 496 of the American Legion of Mapleton.
A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., on Monday, September 14th, at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ of Mapleton.
Left to cherish his memory include his children Todd (Jill) Klockgether of Charter Oak, IA and Kim King (Doug Nepper) of Ute, IA; grandchildren Katelyn Klockgether (fiancé Riley Elwell) of Ute, IA and Brianna Klockgether of Charter Oak, IA; sister Viola Klockgether of Alaska; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
