Class 2A Quarterfinals
Roland-Story 60, Kuemper Catholic 52
Kuemper Catholic let a four point halftime lead slip away and fell to Roland-Story 60-52 in the 2A Quarterfinals on Tuesday. Roland-Story outscored the Knights 11-5 in the third quarter to regain the lead and held on down the stretch. The Norsemen outrebounded the Knights 32-14 in the second half and held Kuemper to 9 of 31 shooting after the break as well. Luke Patton had a monster game leading Roland-Story with 25 points and 22 rebounds. Roland-Story picked up their first win at state since they won the title in 1977. The Norsemen improved to 25-1. Kuemper was led by 12 points from Carson Kanne and 10 points and 11 rebounds from DJ Vonnahme. The Knights end the year at 18-7.
