Iowa State Men's Basketball adds three players from transfer portal

   After a succesful season for Cyclones' basketball coach TJ Otzelberger, Iowa State added three new players from the transfer portal on Monday. Iowa State welcomes in Seattle University transfer Brandon Chatfield, Northern Iowa transfer Nate Heise, and Charlotte transfer Dishon Jackson.

   Chatfield, a 6-10 forward, played three years for the Redhawks and will expend his final year of eligibily at Ames. Last season he started all 37 games, averaging 5.4 rebounds (2nd on team) and scored 9.4 points per game while shooting 60.1 from the field.

   Heise, a 6-5 guard from Lake City, Minnesota, comes to Iowa State with one year of eligibilty as well as have the option to apply for a medical redshirt. Heise finished on the All-Missouri Valley Conference third team averaging 13.4 PPG (Led team) while shooting 35.6 & from three point range. He also averaged 2.4 assists per game, good for first on the Panthers' roster.

Jackson started all 30 games for Charlotte, all while avergaing 11.4 point and 6.1 rebounds per contest. He scored double figures in 17 games this season, including his career best 21 points in a game versus UAB. Prior to his time at Charlotte, Jackson played at Washington State where he was selcted on the Pac 12's All-Freshman Honorable Mention team.
