No. 21 Iowa women host Southern Monday night
The 21st-ranked Iowa Hawkeye women open the regular season at home Monday night against Southern. Two transfers are expected to play key roles for the Hawkeyes. Emely Rodriguez scored 17 points in an exhibition win over Ashland, while Georgia Tech transfer Chit Chat Wright had 12 points and four assists while running the point. Rodriguez was seven of 10 from the floor in the exhibition game after transferring from Central Florida.
