Iowa's Ben McCollum on the leadership of senior guard Brendan Hausen
Iowa coach Ben McCollum says senior guard Brendan Hausen is one of the best leaders on the team despite limited playing time. The transfer from Kansas State is averaging only 10 minutes per game and just over five points per contest in the Hawkeyes' 9-2 start to the season. McCollum says that leadership is important on a team with a new roster this season. Hausen says he will play whatever role is necessary for the team to be successful. Hausen is coming off a season-high 13 points, including four of seven from three-point range in Sunday's 91-51 win over Western Michigan. The Hawkeyes return to action Saturday afternoon in the Casey's Center in Des Moines by playing Bucknell.
