Northern Iowa men host Belmont Wednesday night
The Northern Iowa men look to stay unbeaten in the Missouri Valley Conference race on Wednesday night when they host Belmont. The challenge for the Panthers on defense will be slowing down Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade. He averages nearly 17 points per game and is shooting better than 43 percent from three-point range. Panther coach Ben Jacobson says experience has been a plus for Belmont. They are 13-3 overall and 3-2 in the Valley. Jacobson says Lundblade's ability to shoot from distance opens up the Belmont offense. The Panthers are 4-0 in the Valley and 12-3 overall.
