Monarchs Split with Boone in Home Doubleheader

The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs split their home doubleheader with Boone on Friday night, dropping the girls contest before the boys picked up a strong win.

In the girls game, the Monarchs fell to Boone 68–45 despite battling throughout the night. Lauren Lambert was named the On the Ball Academy Player of the Game after scoring 9 points and providing steady energy on both ends of the floor. Carlson led all Monarch scorers with 13 points in the loss.

The Monarch boys closed the night with an impressive 58–50 victory over Boone, powered by a dominant all-around performance from Blaine Grady, who poured in 27 points, grabbed over 10 rebounds, and added several key blocks. Grady earned On the Ball Academy Player of the Game honors as the Monarchs used strong defense and timely scoring down the stretch to secure the win.
