No. 10 Iowa women avoid disaster with OT win at No. 15 Maryland
The Iowa Hawkeye women are 8-0 in the Big Ten for the first time in 30 years. The 10th-ranked Hawkeyes outscored15th-ranked Maryland 12-5 in overtime to beat the Terrapins 85-78. Maryland forced the extra session by rallying from a 17-point deficit with three minutes to play. The Hawkeyes held Maryland scoreless for the final three-and-a-half minutes of overtime to move to 17-2 overall. The Hawkeyes led 66-49 with just over three minutes remaining before Maryland roared back.
