No. 10 Iowa women rout No. 12 Ohio State
The 10th-ranked Iowa Hawkeye women closed the opening quarter with a 16-3 run and crushed 12th rankled Ohio State 91-70 in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes are 9-0 in the Big Ten. There was a costly loss early. Senior starting guard Taylor McCabe was carried off the court after the opening possession with an apparent knee injury. Freshman Addy Deal came off the bench to lead Iowa with 20 points. Iowa coach Jan Jensen says the extent of the injury to McCabe was not known. It was a third straight win against a rated foe as the Hawkeyes improved to 18-2 overall and remained unbeaten at home.
