Iowa's Jan Jensen on the injury to Taylor McCabe
Iowa women's coach Jan Jensen says freshman Addie Deal will start on Thursday night when the eighth-ranked Hawkeyes visit USC. Senior guard Taylor McCabe was lost for the season after suffering an ACL injury in Sunday's win over 12th-ranked Ohio State. McCabe was averaging nearly nine points per game and was also one of the Hawkeyes' top defenders. Deal scored 20 points against Ohio State and was named Big Ten freshman of the week. Jensen says she and reserve Taylor Stremlow will be counted on for larger roles. Iowa is 9-0 in the Big Ten and 18-2 overall.
