Iowa men edge USC 73-72
Bennett Stirtz hit a pair of free throws with just over four seconds remaining in a 73-72 victory. It was a game the Hawkeyes led by 17 midway through the second half. USC guard Kam Woods led the rally with 27 of his game-high 33 points in the second half. Stirtz had 20 points, as did Tavion Banks. Alvaro Folgueiras gave the Hawkeyes a big lift off the bench with 14 points. The Hawkeyes opened the second half with a 20-4 run before the Trojans came roaring back. The Hawkeyes are 5-4 in the Big Ten and 15-5 overall.
