Two area coaches recognized at IFCA Banquet

Over the weekend, the IFCA recognized two coaches with area ties. The IFCA inducted former Schleswig head football coach Skip Eckhardt into the Hall of Fame. Skip led the Schleswig Hawks to one of their two State titles for football, taking the crown in 1984 with a 13-0 win over Lone Tree.

On Saturday, Steve Nuetzman of East Sac County was recognized at the IFCA Banquet, receiving the IFCA Don Taft Memorial Junior High Coaches' Award. This prestigious honor is presented to junior high and middle school football coaches (grades 7–8) in Iowa who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, long-term service, and a true commitment to developing young players.
