2026 Denison-Schleswig Girls Basketball Award winners
On Tuesday, the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs hosted their annual end of year banquet for the girls basketball team with great recognition for these players.
The team was awarded the IGHSAU Distinguished Academic Award with a team GPA 3.61, all while Kysa Neddermeyer, Lyli Morgan, & Tanna Petersen were selected to the Hawkeye 10 Academic All-Conference team.
Sara Mun & Ann Wessel put together great seasons for the Monarchs, good enough to earn Hawkeye Ten Honorable Mentions for 2026.
For the team awards, Isabelle Blume would win Rookie of the Year after averaging 5.3 PPG while playing 23 games in her Freshman season.Senior Kysa Neddermeyer wins Most Improved Player, playing in 22 games, starting 11. Marley Boettger wins Miss Rebound after averaging 5.5 rebounds per game this season. Sara Mun wins the Monarch Spirit Award while also winning Co-MVP with Ann Wessel, both players averaging 7.7 PPG & 8.1 PPG respectivley.
