It was a tough night for the Monarchs against Lewis Central, but not without some fireworks.

 

Lewis Central 12, Denison-Schleswig 10

 

The Monarchs found themselves trailing 9-0 in the 4th inning before battling all the way back, ultimately coming up just short. Denison finished with 12 hits on the night.

For the second straight game, senior Emily Gehlsen left the yard, blasting a 3-run home run and earning the Kastner Seed Hoegemeyer Hit of the Game.

The loss drops the Monarchs to 4-3 on the season.

Lewis Central 9, Denison-Schleswig 6

The Titans handed the Monarchs their second loss of the season as Denison-Schleswig falls to 9-2 overall.
