MONARCHS SWEEP RED OAK

It was a perfect night for Denison-Schleswig baseball and softball as both squads earned doubleheader sweeps over Red Oak on Monday night!
BASEBALL GAME 1: Monarchs 3, Red Oak 0
Camdyn Nemitz was simply dominant, tossing a complete-game no-hitter while striking out 14 Tigers to earn the win.
The Monarchs finished with 9 hits in the opener.
Kastner Seed Hoegemeyer Hit of the Game: Camdyn Nemitz helped his own cause at the plate with a hard-hit base knock and didn’t allow a hit on the mound.
BASEBALL GAME 2: Monarchs 13, Red Oak 3 (6 innings)
The Monarch offense exploded for 12 hits in the nightcap as the Monarchs completed the sweep.
Cole Kastner earned the win on the mound, striking out 7.
The Monarchs improve to 13-5 on the season while Red Oak falls to 5-11.
SOFTBALL
The Monarchs also picked up a sweep over Red Oak to improve to 10-7 on the season.
Game 1: Monarchs 19, Red Oak 5 (4 innings)
Freshman Isabelle Blume delivered the biggest swing of the night, crushing a grand slam after Red Oak walked Emily Gehlsen to load the bases with two outs.
Game 2: Monarchs 20, Red Oak 0 (4 innings)
The Monarchs completed the sweep with another dominant offensive performance.
Both Monarch teams return home Tuesday night to face Kuemper Catholic. Baseball (13-5) hosts the 13-3 Knights with coverage beginning at 7:00 PM on KDSN 104.9 FM, KDSN TV, and KDSNRadio.com with J3.
