The Denison-Schleswig Monarch baseball team picked up another impressive Hawkeye Ten Conference victory Tuesday night, defeating Kuemper Catholic 7-0.
 
Senior Owen Galvin was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete-game one-hitter while striking out 12 Knights. Galvin earns tonight’s 🍕 Pizza Ranch Delivery of the Game after another outstanding performance.
 
🔥 Kastner Seed Hoegemeyer Hit of the Game: Ryan Slechta delivered a clutch RBI double to score the Monarchs’ second run of the game. Slechta finished with 3 hits and was also hit by a pitch.

The Monarchs improve to 14-5 on the season while Kuemper Catholic falls to 15-4.
 
🥎 SOFTBALL
 
The Monarchs nearly completed a remarkable comeback against Kuemper Catholic.
After trailing 9-0 in the fourth inning, Denison-Schleswig battled all the way back before falling just short, 12-11.
 
Avery Bock and Isabelle Blume each tripled for the Monarchs, who move to 10-8 on the season. Kuemper improves to 8-12.
 
Softball travels to St. Albert on Thursday and back at home and on the airwaves and TV on Friday vs. MVAOCOU.
