Monarch Softball beats MVACOU and Monarch Baseball Falls to Sioux City West

Softball and Baseball Postgame Recap:
The Denison-Schleswig Monarch softball team rolled to a 16-2 victory over MVAOCOU on Friday night, ending the game after 4 innings.
The Monarchs pounded out 8 hits while limiting the Rams to just 2 and improve to 11-9 on the season.

Malana Gillmor blasted a 3-run home run to help power the Monarch offense.

Haley Lutz earns the honor for her work in the circle as the Monarchs cruised to the win.
Denison-Schleswig will host its home tournament on Saturday with games scheduled for 10:00 AM and Noon.

BASEBALL
The Monarchs came up just short in a tight battle with Sioux City West, falling 5-4.
Ryan Slechta provided a big swing with a 2-run home run for Denison-Schleswig.
The Monarchs fall to 15-6 on the season and will be back in action Saturday at Clarinda with first pitch scheduled for 5:00 PM.
