2026 Fall Sports Preview: East Sac County Cross Country
It was a banner year last season for Cindy Wilcke and the East Sac County Raiders cross country team as the boys' side qualified for the State Tournament.
But heading into 2026, the Raiders will have slots to fill, graduating four seniors from the State squad. But the Raiders return two talented underclassmen in Olver Engel & Jacob Ulmer, who both now bring State experience to the table. The girls were unable to field a team last season, but in 2026 that script flips. The Raiders bring in two foreign exchange students, Petra Milan & Hedvig von Barens, looking to jump in and compete right away, as well as an incoming freshman, Aubrey Renze & Naveah Stone, who both put together an impressive JH campaign last year.
KDSN talked to Raiders head coach Cindy Wilcke to preview the season.
