2026 Fall Sports Preview: Logan-Magnolia Football
It's a new era for Logan-Magnolia as Jack West gets ready for his first year at the helm, taking over for legendary Panthers head coach Matt Straight, who resigned in the offseason.
Coach West inherits a group of athletes that finished 5-4 last season, 3-3 in district play, as the team battled injuries and youth in spots. But now in 2026, the sky is the limit for this Panther team.
On offense, Ashton Pezulik will be back at QB for his senior season, looking for a big comeback season, as his successful backup, Brodie Davis (1,165 passing yards), looks to expand his role on the field with his athleticism. Crosby Yoder expects to help elevate the offense coming off a career year with over 600 receiving yards and a team-leading six receiving touchdowns. On defense, Wade Hawkins and Robert Bothwell shined as underclassmen last season (1 sack, 20-plus tackles each), and coach West looks to them to make plays with another year of experience.
