Monarch Football drops game in Overtime vs. CB AL
The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs battled back from a 10-0 halftime deficit, but Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln escaped with a 20-13 overtime victory.
Karsen Bruhn connected with Lucas Schneider for a 20-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The Monarchs later grabbed a 13-10 lead on Angel Rodriguez’s 42-yard touchdown reception and held it until the Lynx tied the game with a field goal with just two seconds remaining.
CB Abraham Lincoln scored first in overtime before stopping the Monarchs to secure the win.
Denison-Schleswig finished with 213 yards of offense, including 166 through the air, while the Monarch defense recorded six sacks.
