All-In-One Fun Run to Take Place in Denison Saturday, September 16th
The All-In-One Fun Run will take place this weekend in conjunction with the Tri-City BBQ Fest. Organizer Sara Woerdehoff explained how the event came about. “So this started as a community awareness walk for individuals with disabilities. I want to say about 10 years ago we started it . For a while we did a different theme every single year but then after the dreaded ‘Covid’ word, we decided to do all of the most popular runs in one run to make up for the runs everybody had missed.” Worerdehoff explained how the various “runs” work that day. “The All-In-One Fun Run, the reason we call it (that), is because all the runs are in one, so you got the candy dash, the water frenzy, slime, bubbles, and the bubble station is a crowd favorite especially with the pets and toddlers, it’s just mountains of foam. Color and then a neon glow- so the neon glow station you go into a tent.” Woerdehoff said they changed the route up this year. “So we start and end at the Crawford County CourtHouse so the route will take you through Denison. We changed the route up so it’s not as hilly as it once was. We had all sorts of issues trying to get up these hills with wheelchairs so kind of down by the swim pool area then it’ll take you by the elementary school, then by Washington Park, then back up through the BBQ Fest and then back to the courthouse.” Woerdehoff said there’s several ways to register. “You can go on any of our social media pages. We actually have two facebook pages and then we have Twitter, Instagram and then you can find it on Eventbrite.
