Train derailment Monday evening in Carroll County: No injuries

(Glidden, Iowa) –Several Union-Pacific rail cars derailed Monday evening in western Iowa. According railroad officials, the accident happened at around 5 p.m. Monday, just east of Glidden, in Carroll County. No injuries were reported. All railroad crossings in the area were re-opened as clean-up efforts were underway. The accident remains under investigation.
