Accident on I-29 Injures Two in Monona County including Man from Denison

Two men are injured in an accident along I-29 Saturday morning. According to a report by the Iowa State Parol, the incident happened in Monona County at approximately 7:30a, when a 2025 Freightliner semi-trailer collided with a 1994 Dodge Dakota that was being towed by a 1997 Nissan. The driver of the Nissan, 49 year old Juan Cardenas Chavez of Denison and the driver of the truck, 64 year old Theodore Armstrong of Belmont, NC, were both transported by Monona EMS to Burgess Health Center in Onawa with injuries.
