Everly man dies in motorcycle crash
A northwest Iowa man was killed Wednesday after his motorcycle hit the back of a minivan. The Iowa State Patrol's report indicates 54-year-old Douglas Nielsen of Everly was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, headed east on a road southeast of Everly. The accident report says Nielsen's motorcycle struck the rear of a minivan in front of him shortly before 9 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday). Nielsen was thrown from his motorcycle and he struck by a pick-up coming from the other direction. Nielsen died at the scene.
