Woodbine offers zero cost lots as new construction incentive
The City of Woodbine is offering new construction incentives for anyone interested in its master-planned Harvest Hills housing development. Ninety-nine free lots are available for future homeowners and builders in the second phase of the neighborhood development, according to a news release.
“This financial incentive is key to expanding housing opportunity in Woodbine,” City Administrator Lisa Koch said in the release. “We’ve experienced dynamic community and economic development over the last five years, creating compelling amenities for families. The Zero-Cost Lots program is the next step toward sustainable residential development for the region.”
The master-planned housing development is located just west of established residential neighborhoods and is walkable to The CREW Center, a new community recreation and wellness facility, and to K-12 schools, a CTE Regional Center and early education child care. A digital map of available lots can be found at harvesthillsatwoodbine.com. A reservation on a lot can be placed for up to four weeks through the program while the application is completed, and confirmation is granted upon approval of the application by the city. There is an 18-month window for construction of homes through the Zero-Cost Lots program. All design and construction of homes in the Harvest Hills must adhere to established covenants.
