Third & Main Market Secures State Grant to Enhance Local Shopping Experience

LAKE VIEW, Iowa — Third & Main Market has been selected as one of eight grocery and food production businesses statewide to receive funding through the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Rural Innovation Grant program.
The grant program, part of Governor Kim Reynolds’ Empower Rural Iowa Initiative, awarded a total of more than $72,000 to support projects aimed at strengthening services in Iowa communities with populations under 20,000.
Third & Main Market, formerly known as Lake View Foods, will receive $2,640. The funds will be used to implement a new digital marketing system designed to provide targeted discounts and help customers save money.
Officials say the initiative is intended to boost economic growth and improve access to goods and services in smaller communities. The next round of grant applications, focusing on expanding rural housing options, closes on August 29.
